🚙 Let South Crete Safari take you to Preveli Palm Forest Beach, one of the most famous beaches of Crete and home to the exotic Palm forest of Preveli, located at the mouth of the Kourtaliotiko Gorge. This is the second largest Palm forest in Crete after Vai in the far East of the island.

Route Highlights:

🌄 Starting Point: Matala 🌊 Destination: Preveli Palm Beach

Starting at our pick-up point in Matala, we’ll take you to Preveli Palm Beach through scenic mountain roads with spectacular views.

🏝️ At Preveli Beach:

• Cross the stone step pathway with magical views to the beach.
• Discover where the Kourtaliotiko Gorge meets the clear blue Libyan Sea, forming a cool lagoon and sandy beach.
• Explore the river and forest, swim in fresh water, and relax.

🍽️ Lunch at Triopetra Beach: We’ll drive along the breathtaking coast to Triopetra Beach, where you’ll enjoy a delicious seafood meal in a family taverna right by the sea. (Vegan, vegetarian, and meat dishes also available.)

🚤 Explore Agia Galini: After lunch, we continue our off-road journey to the lively fishing village of Agia Galini (Saint of Tranquility). Here you can:

• Enjoy a refreshment.
• Explore the shops.
• Swim in the calm sea waters, where legend says Ikarus hid before his fateful flight.

🌅 Return Journey: We head back to Komos Beach for a safari in the sand and a brilliant sunset before returning to Matala.
